Things You Need To Watch In Autumn/Winter

22 September 2019

Happy Sunday Everyone! So recently I have been watching a lot of TV whether that be on Netflix or Amazon prime I have been binge watching and re-watching pretty much every TV show and film you can think of. I feel like in Summer we are all focused on making the most of the good weather, catching up with friends and just enjoying life but when September hits, the weather is getting cooler, the evenings are getting darker and we just want a cosy night in. I also feel like that's when people start asking for recommendations of things to watch so today as I am home feeling ill and sorry for myself I thought why not compile a list of the ideal things to watch over the next few months. Enjoy!

TV Shows
I feel like TV shows are the perfect watch for Autumn months. Instead of spending hours of things to watch you can just put on a TV show where there are a million (slight exaggeration but you know what I mean) episodes that you can just binge your way through.
  • Gilmore Girls
  • One Tree Hill
  • Pretty Little Liars
  • Riverdale
  • The Good Place
  • Suits
  • Grey's Anatomy
  • Downton Abbey (especially with the film in cinemas now I highly recommend watching the show so you know a little bit more about the characters. It's such a magical show)
  • Friends
  • Brooklyn 99
  • Gavin & Stacey (especially with the christmas special fast approaching)
  • Vampire Diaries/Originals/Legacies (In this exact order for it to make sense)
  • Great British Bake Off
  • How To Get Away With Murder
  • Orange Is The New Black
  • Gossip Girl
  • Stranger Things
  • Anne With An E
  • Derry Girls

There is nothing better than lighting a candle and getting warm and comfy under the sheets with a good film on. These are my top recommendations for films you need to watch in Autumn.
  • Harry Potter
  • Me Before You
  • When Harry Met Sally
  • Falling Inn Love
  • Legally Blonde
  • Lord Of The Rings
  • Love Actually
  • The Holiday
  • Bridget Jones
  • Titanic
  • Toy Story
  • The Sound Of Music
  • Breakfast At Tiffany's
  • Love, Rosie
  • 13 Going On 30
  • Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging
  • A Cinderella Story
  • Any Disney Film

If you're bored of the above or you're out one evening and it's cold but you don't want to go home then these are my top recommendations for shows that you need to go and see. These will work better for those of you that live in London but if you're travelling to the city over the next few months then I definitely recommend these shows.
  • Les Miserables
  • Waitress
  • Six The Musical
  • The Play That Goes Wrong
  • Wicked
  • Matilda
  • The Lion King
  • 9 - 5 The Musical
  • Everybody's Talking About Jamie
  • Dear Evan Hansen
  • Come From Away
  • The Lion King
  • Mamma Mia

So there's my list of  recommended things to watch over the next few months. A lot of these shows and films you'd have probably watched already but to me there's nothing better than re-watching something you love over and over again especially in the autumn/winter months. Let me know in the comments below if there's anything on this least you've seen or haven't seen before. If you have any of your own recommendations then be sure to leave them below as well as I would love to check them out.
