HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!!! Is it just me that's slightly scared it is almost the beginning of a New Year? I can't actually believe it. Nonetheless and as promised here is my end of year recap. 2013 has been quite a good year and quite a sad year in some aspects so I thought that I would share photos from the year with you all.

2013 was quite a big year for me. I started my own beauty blog, graduated from university, saw my cousin from Scotland who I never ever see, got to see one of my best friends from university get married who's now also expecting her first child, celebrated my 22nd Birthday in Scotland, saw my younger cousins for the first time in a year and also had my cousin from Mauritius come down to celebrate Christmas with us. It's definitely been a year full of good memories.  Below is a little collage I've created of fabulous memories spent with my friends and family throughout 2013. I really enjoyed selecting this photos as it has made me realise how lucky I am to have the friends and family that I do.

This collage has bought back so many memories it is actually crazy! Drinks with my friends at university before the hard work kicked in, my cousin from my Dad's side Amy from Scotland coming down to stay with me and my family for the first time, finishing our last exam and having drinks in the sunshine, handing in our dissertation and then graduating, riding the same train that was used in the Harry Potter films up in Scotland, sitting next to my best friend from university who got married in late August and then the last lot of pictures are photos from when my cousin Deepti from my Mum's side came down to celebrate Christmas! I can't believe how fresh ALL these memories are! I am actually going to keep this collage and use it as a background on my phone just to remind me of all the good memories I have.

2013 hasn't been all filled with joy and happy memories though. Since graduating university I still haven't been able to find myself a job. I've been looking and applying and even been asking to just volunteer or do some work experience and unfortunately been getting absolutely nowhere. It has been really stressing me out and has made me think all the hard work I did for the past three years actually mean nothing. I've spent nights crying and lately I'm starting to realise that I just need to be patient because I won't be jobless for ever. Something will eventually pop up. I'm just hoping it's by the end of January, beginning of February.

Back in October I sadly lost my Nan on my Dad's side. She was 84 years old and had been suffering with dementia for quite some time which was very upsetting. I am just happy she is in a better place now and out of pain. I had never been to a funeral before until my Nan passed away and it was extremely upsetting for me and upsetting to see all my cousins and other family members upset. I am so happy we went up to Scotland this year for a holiday as me and my family got to spend a few last but very precious moments with her. I just hope that I can make her and the rest of my family proud in 2014!

Overall 2014 has been a good year filled with lots of beautiful memories spent with all my loved ones. I am now thouroughly looking forward to 2014 and especially looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish. Hopefully by the end of 2015 I will have achieved everything I said I would achieve in my last post! If you haven't read it yet then click HERE to have a read. Be sure to let me know what your goals are on that post or underneath this post too.

I hope that you all have a wonderful New Years Eve whatever you are doing. Stay safe and close to the people you love if you are heading out and if you are staying in I hope you have a beautiful night bring in 2014.  Be sure to stay tuned to my blog tomorrow where I will be talking about my 2013 beauty favorites. Perfect read for those of you who are suffering in bed with a hangover! I hope 2014 is a wonderful year for you all!

2013 Recap | Good Bye 2013, Hello 2014

Now that Christmas is done and dusted all eyes turn to the next major event. The New Year. I cannot believe 2013 is almost over. It's honestly gone by so quickly. All in all I had a fairly fabulous year. A few major events that have stuck out to me include graduating university and having my cousin come down from Scotland who I never see and celebrating Christmas with my other cousin from Mauritius who I haven't seen in four years! I don't want to include any upsetting memories in this post so check back on New Years Eve where I will be doing a full 2013 recap which will include photos!

Now we all use the cliched expression this time of year. 'New Year, New Start'. But that is exactly what it is. It gives all of us a chance to leave all negativity behind, start afresh with people we have perhaps hurt, start new jobs, new fitness regimes, new hobbies, a new lifestyle, whatever it is you want to do now is the time to say right 'this is it, no more putting it off, I will do it and I will succeed'. Below are some of the things I want to happen throughout 2014. I am not going to call them resolutions because I never ever stick to them, however I do want these things to happen to me during 2014 so let's get started!

♥ Get A Job & Save Money
This is one of the main things on my list and is one of the areas of my life that is making me pretty unhappy at the moment. I graduated university back in July this year and I haven't been able to find a job since. I work at a tutor centre every Tuesday and Thursday and even though this gives me a little bit of money I still don't earn enough to save, or do the things I'd like to do. In  2014 I am hoping this will change and I will finally get a job that will allow me to gain new skills, become more independent and so I can do nice things for my friends and family.

 Start Learning To Drive
Now you'd think that at age 22 I would already be out on the roads causing havoc. But no. And this is mainly linked to getting a job. Learning to drive costs quite a lot of money. I spend most of my time on trains, buses or I just walk everywhere but I would like to drive so I can help my parents and just go and see friends and family who live in different parts of the UK. I am hoping to take my theory by the end of January and then we'll see how it goes from there.

  Be More Positive
Probably the most important one on this list. If you follow me on twitter you will see that I take to twitter almost every day to rant and to moan about something. I can be a very negative person. I've had people tell me this and I see it myself but at the moment I'm not having the best time in my life so it's really hard to be super positive. However, I will be working on this. This year I created a memory jar and in it it is full of amazing memories from this year. On New Years Eve I will be emptying the jar and flick through all the memories. I found this quote on Google Images and it sums up my attitude for 2014. I hope it helps all of you too!

 Drink More Water
Towards the end of this year I have been drinking so much water. Not only has it helped my mood but it makes me feel good on the inside and my skin looks and feels a lot more hydrated. There are two drinks I turn to when I am thirsty and they are Sprite and Irn Bru. Could I get more unhealthy? As nice as they are they are full of sugar and other nasties and are just no good. Having said that I am hardly ever thirsty and very often go a whole day without drinking. It's not at all good. I have also downloaded an app on my phone called Idrated. (Get it, Idrated, because it's downloaded on an iphone, get it?) It's a fantastic little app. Every time you have a drink, enter it on the app and your phone will buzz when you're next due for a drink.  I absolutely love it and it's something I will be constantly using in 2014.

 Exercise More
This is something that is on everyone's list but something people rarely stick too. I however badly need to. I am not exactly the slimmest girl in the world and would really like to drop one or even two dress sizes by the end of the year as I hate how I feel and it constantly affects my mood. I will make sure to get up early, go for a run or to the gym, eat healthier and hopefully I will have achieved my goals. My motivation right now is sky high so I hope it continues to plummet. Healthy is my main goal. I will be introducing a little series on my blog to so you can all see how I'm progressing. Let me know if that's something you'd like to see.

Travel More & Meet New People
2014 will hopefully be the year I not only get a job, but I go out and travel around the world a lot more as well. Travel has always fascinated and I've always loved going to see new places. Paris is first on my list followed by America and then Australia. They are three places that I am absolutely dying to see whilst I am still young. I also want to meet new people and make new friends and just start afresh. I just think it's something that needs to happen for me.

So those are all the things I want to happen in 2014. I will do my best to make it as memorable and enjoyable as possible. I will share my most memorable moments in 2014 with you on my blog through Instagram diaries and weekly updates so do stay tuned for that. What is on your bucket list for 2014? Be sure to leave me a comment letting me know!

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a fabulous Christmas and are now making plans to see in the New Year! I can't believe how fast Christmas and the past few days have gone! It'll be Christmas again before we know it! Anyway as I am still feeling incredibly festive I thought that I would share with all of you what I got for Christmas. Now I know these posts cause a lot of uproar but I would just like to point out that I am definitely not spoilt and I am in no way showing off. I have quite a lot of family who like to treat me at Christmas as very often it is the one time of the year I get to see family members I haven't seen throughout the year or even for a few years!

Before I stop rambling and get onto the point of this post I would like to say that if you think I am showing off and bragging (which I am definitely not) then please feel free to exit this post now instead of making or leaving rude and nasty comments. If you love these types of posts like me (Who doesn't love a good old nose?!) then please continue to read.

Momentum On Ear Headphones
This was a present from my Dad. He knows that I have been after a new pair of headphones for ages so decided to get me these and I absolutely love them. I haven't stopped listening to my iPod since I got them. The sound is amazing and I love that you can put them up really loud without anyone else hearing what you are listening too. Best pair of headphones I've ever had!

Bliss & Boss Nuit Perfume & Florentino Soap

Perfume is always something I'm after. I am a true perfume junkie. If you read my 'Pink Inc' review post I mentioned there that I was out of almost all my perfume but I knew I would be getting a few bottles for Christmas from my Mum. I haven't actually sniffed the Boss Nuit one yet, but I absolutely love the scent of the Bliss perfume. It contains notes of cucumber, lily and violet which gives the perfume a really fresh but slightly sweet scent to it. I'll report back with my thoughts once I've used both of them more. My mum also bought me this huge bar of soap which smells absolutely incredible. I very rarely use soap as I'm more of a body wash type of girl but when I sniffed this I knew I would be using this more.

Stocking Fillers - Earrings, Lipbalm Trio, Coin Purse & Body Sprays

First of all can I just have a resounding 'aww' at the lip balms? How adorable are they? My cousin bought these gifts for me and she said 'it just reminded me of you' when she gave me the lip balms. They are so cute. The flavors are Berry, Raspberry and Passion Fruit. I have no idea which one is which yet! As a lip balm lover these are right up my street! If you read my '50 Facts About Me' post a few months ago then you will know how much I love earrings. I have way over 200 in my collection so 5 more pairs won't hurt! I absolutely love them. So dainty and pretty. I also love the collection of body sprays! Impulse has always been my favorite brand to use and these smell amazing! Perfect for handbags as well! I am in love with the coin purse as well as I need somewhere to put all my change I get from notes! All of these were purchased at Accessorize! So if you're interested in any of these gifts then head on there!

Jewelry Sets - NY London & Marks and Spencers Women

How beautiful are these little jewelry sets? I can't get over how beautiful the NY London set is either. Such a gorgeous blue. I desperately needed a new watch as well and I'm so happy this was included. It's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to wear it! The NY London gift set was a present from one of my cousins who popped over as a surprise to see us on Christmas Day! The Marks and Spencers Woman Jewelry set was a present from my Aunt and I love how beautifully simple and dainty it is. Perfect for every day. I'll definitely be wearing this a lot, especially the earrings.

Other Bits and Bobs - Yankee Candle, Mirror & Bag

These items I didn't actually receive on Christmas. My mum and my cousin went shopping the next day and when they returned handed me these items which I was extremely grateful for. You all know how much I love my Yankee Candles and I had wanted to try the Snowflake Cookie one for ages as it smells absolutely incredible. I have already burned it as you can see. It's amazing. Definitely purchase it fast before it's off the shelves for another year! My mum then gave me this mirror which I absolutely love. I love the diamond design and the color of it as well. It's such a luxurious product and one I'll definitely be keeping in my new bag that's pictured above. How gorgeous is the bag? I don't like regular handbags, I prefer ones that are cross bodied and small like this. I just find them easier to carry and you don't need to worry about losing it because it's always there. The design inside the bag is pretty funky and pretty too! Along with these presents I received a £25 Marks and Spencers Gift Voucher and a £25 iTunes Voucher as well which I'm so grateful for.

As you can see from the photos above I was an extremely lucky girl this year and I am so thankful to have such a lovely generous family. We all know Christmas isn't about presents but everyone likes to buy and receive them so why not show our appreciation in a post like this? My family were so appreciative of the gifts that I bought for them as well. I just love the exchange of presents at Christmas and seeing your loved ones faces light up! I always think of others less fortunate than myself this time of year and I always make sure to at least donate or send a couple of little presents to different charities.

I'll end this post here by saying I hope you all enjoyed seeing what I got. Feel free to let me know what you got for Christmas in the comments below and I hope you all had a fabulous day with your loved ones.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Boxing Day to you all! (I know there's no such thing okay?)! I hope you all had a wonderful day with your family and you all got everything you wanted and more! I had such a good day and I can't believe Christmas is already over for another year! All the excitement that builds up and it's gone in a flash! Nonetheless I had an amazing day as you can see from the photos above so I will share details of the two days below.

Christmas Eve was spent with me and my cousin heading up London to do some last minute Christmas Shopping. We went to Oxford Street which I was extremely skeptical about at first because I thought it would be absolutely packed but it was actually not too bad. The atmosphere was amazing. We had a look in Selfridges and I couldn't resist taking photos of the Christmas windows as you can see from above! I don't know about you but I'd absolutely love that YSL clutch!! We then headed back hope and wrapped more presents and stuck them all underneath the tree. I then headed out to give Christmas cards to all the neighbours came back and got dressed my Christmas Eve PJS! Something I absolutely love! It was then time to watch christmas films with my mum brother and cousin and then off to bed we went!

Christmas Day started with me and my brother woke up at 8:45AM to get read to go to Christmas Mass which was so lovely. I love the Christmas services at Church. Everyone is so happy and the Christmas Carols sung are so beautiful and it's just such a beautiful service! After that we came back and woke up my cousin so that we could finally open our presents. (I will be doing a separate 'What I Got For Christmas' post). We were all extremely happy. My cousin got an iPod and my brother got a really nice radio/record player unit which he absolutely loves. We were all extremely happy with our presents and I loved seeing the look on my families faces when they open their presents.

After that we all got ready into our Christmas outfits. As you can see I wore a simple blue dress with leggings underneath as it was quite cold and I also had a jewelry set on that my aunt gave me but I'll speak more about that in my next post. I then had another cousin and my uncle and aunt with my 2 year old twin cousins come round as well which was lovely. We then sat down to watch the 'Top Of The Pops Christmas Special and Miracle at 34th Street whilst we were waiting for our Christmas dinner.

After the films me and my two older cousins decided to entertain my little twin cousins as both of them were wrecking the Christmas Tree! As you can see from the photo of my and my cousin pulling the Christmas Cracker in front of the half empty Christmas tree we had to hide half the decorations because a couple had been broken! After entertaining the children we had definitely worked up an appetite!

Christmas Dinner was finally served and it was amazing! Turkey with all the trimmings, Rose to celebrate and we spent the next two hours laughing and joking and it was so lovely. I really love family gatherings like this. After that my mum made Christmas Pudding. I'm not a massive fan of the traditional Christmas Pudding but she had bought a chocolate alternative which was absolutely delicious.

In the evening we sat down again and opened more presents that my uncle and other cousins had bought round which were all absolutely lovely as you will see in my next post. We then took pictures, ate and drank more and just had a lovely evening before everyone had to leave. It was definitely a great Christmas and one that I will remember for a long time, especially I've never celebrated Christmas with my cousin who came down from Mauritius. Christmas isn't really a big thing over there, they mainly go all out on New Year so it was good to have her experience a British Christmas and she thoroughly enjoyed herself as well!

I'll end this post here by saying I had an absolutely wonderful day spent with the people I love and I am so sad it's over! However I know that we will be seeing more family members in the next few days so not all celebrations are over yet! I hope the rest of you had a beautiful Christmas! Let me know in the comments below how you celebrated! Staying on the topic of all things Christmas related my next post will be a 'What I Got For Christmas 2013' Post. Stay tuned if like me you love to have a good nose at other people's presents.

How I Spent Christmas 2013

Hello Everyone! First of all I'm so sorry this post is so late! I meant to write it earlier but just didn't have the time! So I thought what better time to do it that midnight on Christmas Day!! Let me apologise for the quality of these photos first of all. These were all taken from my iPhone so do forgive me.

Anyway I hope you are all finally relaxed and rested and are looking forward to the big day tomorrow! I went to Oxford Street today and had a look at the Christmas windows which are absolutely stunning and then did some last minute Christmas Shopping with my cousin. I then came back home and wrote out the Christmas cards for my neighbours and delivered them! One of my favorite things to do on Christmas Eve!

I them finished wrapping all my presents and got changes into my Christmas Eve PJS and am now going to sit with my family and watch The Snowman and The Snowdog! I'm so glad all the pressure of getting presents is now off my shoulder and I cannot wait to see the looks on my family's faces tomorrow when they open all of their gifts! It will all be worth it!

I will end this post here by wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and hope you have an amazing day with your loved ones! I'd also like to thank you all for all the support you have given my blog this year so far! I never expected to reach almost 150 followers on my blog so this is amazing. After Christmas I will be doing a Christmas Lowdown post and a 'What I Got For Christmas' Post so make sure that you all stay tuned for that! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

2013 was the year that I was introduced to the brand Sleek. I have used a number of their blushes and eye shadows. I had never on the other hand heart of their sleek make up pout polishes. I had spotted a review on Kayleigh aka CoutureGirl's blog and I immediately fell in love with how the product sounded.

When I was in Superdrug a couple of weeks ago I was browsing the Sleek counter and couldn't find a colour that would actually suit my skin tone. Then at the bottom I spotted this gorgeous red shade which is called 'Perfect Plum'. Red is a lip color that I am going to start experimenting more with in the new year so I thought why not start with this color?

One of the main reasons why I love this so much, despite the deep red plum color is because it is also a lip conditioning balm. This means that when you apply the lip balm it nourishes your lips as well as leave a lovely tint of color. I can safely say that this is the softest lip product I have ever applied to my lips. This is down to the natural oils that are contained in the balm such as almond oil, shea butter, and Vitamin E which happen to be all of my favorite ingredients when it comes to beauty products. As well as nourishing the lips it also keeps the lips protected and makes sure that the moisture is locked in.

However I will be honest and say that there is something I hate about this lip balm and that is the way in which it is packaged. I absolutely hate lip balms that are in tub format. I prefer baby lips style balms that are just quick and easy to apply. This can get quite messy if like me you are a bit inexperienced with applying balms with lip brushes. That is why I haven't included a picture of me wearing the lip color as it would be absolutely horrific for you to see! So you'll have to bear with the swatch I've included. Despite the pot making it impossible to apply it's definitely extremely travel friendly.

Despite me hating the pot I absolutely love the main product. This product comes in 9 shades and is priced at only £4.29 which I think is a total bargain. Head on over to the SLEEK website now to purchase yours.

Have you already tried the Sleek Pout Polishes?

Review | Sleek Pout Polish in 'Perfect Plum'

Literally cannot believe Christmas is only a week away! This time next week we would have opened our stockings and presents, spent time with all our loved ones and mull over how incredibly lucky we are. If you are looking for last minute stocking fillers or presents then carry on reading!

Two weeks ago I was looking for a new perfume as I had run out of all my perfumes and was only using body spray. However, I absolutely refused to spend £30 odd on a perfume this close to Christmas as chances are I will be getting one for Christmas. I spotted this in the Superdrug gift set section and instantly picked it up. I had wanted to try this perfume for so long. Something about it just screamed 'you will like it' so I went with my gut and I am so glad I made that decision. It is such a gorgeous perfume.

The fragrance is very sweet and girly and you all know how much I love my sweet scents. The top notes of the scent are juice blackcurrent which is blended in with sweet raspberry, the middle notes are peony and wild jasmine and the bottom notes are vanilla and musk which are two of my favorite scents and provide a very subtle base to the whole perfume. It reminds me of the Lacoste Touch Of Pink perfume which I also love! The scent is very sweet and uplifting and will instantly make you feel loads better. I can't think of any young woman who wouldn't be happy to find a bottle of this in their stocking this Christmas.

Whilst browsing Superdrug I noted two versions of this perfume. The main bottle was just packaged up and up on the shelf and then I also spotted a little mini gift set which has a shower gel and bottle lotion both of which are 100ML and a 50ML eau du toilette spray! If you love the sound of this the spray on it's on is around £4 and from looking at the superdrug website it is £9.00, although I am pretty sure I saw it for £5.00 in Superdrug. Both prices are pretty reasonable so if you like the sound of this make sure to head on over to the website or pop in store soon!

What are your favorite perfumes that you hope to receive this festive season?

Heya everyone! Hope you've all had a good weekend and are ready and refreshed for another week! Just 9 days to go until Christmasssss!! I'm so excited. Tonight I'm going to wrap up the Christmas presents that I have already bought instead of leaving everything until the last minute. I still have a few presents to buy this week and then I am officially done for another year! Can't wait to see the excitement on my family's faces when they open their presents. Anyway, enough about Christmas, let's move on to the review.

When I was browsing Superdrug around a month ago I came across this cleanser. I was instantly intrigued as the cleanser I currently use is the Liz Earle Cleanser which I am absolutely in love with. I had never in my life or blogging career heard of a mousse cleanser so I popped it in my basket and hoped for the best. I must say I am thoroughly impressed.

One of the main reasons I love this cleanser is because of the smell. It has a very clean and fresh scent to it. I compared this to my Liz Earle and a couple of other cleansers in my cabinet and they smell quite chemically which is off putting compared to this. This year I have also noticed that my skin has become quite dry and sensitive as well and as you can see from the photos above that is exactly what this cleanser is designed for.

It is not harsh on my skin at all and doesn't dry it out or cause it to look or feel tight. This is down to the almond oil contained within the cleanser. Having said that when it comes to us beauty girls we like a cleanser to remove all traces of make up and  this definitely does a reasonable job however, it is not something I would rely on completely. I find that this cleanser makes your skin feel a lot more refreshed and smooths the skin which is perfect if you have any rough patches. Again this is down to the almond oil that is enriched within the cleanser. This is one of the key ingredients that helps combat rough and irritated skin. As this cleanser is from Nivea it also contains Hydra IQ. This is an active ingredient that naturally helps to hydrate the skin within as well as hydrate the surface of the skin. Definitely something I look for when cleansing my face.

As you can see from the photos the cleanser comes with a pump. When I'm in the shower I use around one to two pumps of this on my face and finds it does a decent enough job. One pump is usually enough to remove any traces of make up and the second pump does a really good job and cleansing the face completely.

Overall I am really impressed with this cleanser. It does everything I look for in a cleanser with quite a cheap price tag too. Definitely something I will keep on repurchasing. They also do a normal version of this cleanser to so you don't need to opt for the dry and sensitive skin bottle if you don't want to.

If you are intrigued then head on over to the Superdrug website HERE where you will be able to purchase it for only £3.99. If that doesn't scream bargain to you I don't know what will.

Have you already tried this cleanser? Do you use foaming cleansers? If so, leave a few recommendations in the comments below so I can check them out.
